Just a reliable pick for a weekend jaunt in McHenry with good value. The air conditioning was loud but worked fine. Bring your own toiletries for a better experience.

Solo traveler beware

Walking in, the floor was clean and the check-in process was quick although it felt a bit rushed, but at least I got my key without much hassle. A couple of times, I mentioned issues to staff, they were polite but not really that helpful.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain either.

The convenience to family members made our trip easier. The staff was friendly and responsive to our needs.

The room seemed a bit sparse on amenities.

Unfortunately, missing amenities left something to be desired. Our room lacked a microwave, and we noticed the continental breakfast offering was quite limited to just coffee, cereal, and maybe bagels. The absence of a luggage rack was bothersome, especially with only one elevator on the far side of the building. We also encountered a few maintenance issues, like a mini fridge that wasn't plugged in and some rust on the bathroom fixtures, which weren't ideal for the price paid.

I stayed for 1 night in a Queen Room Non-Smoking. The most valuable part was the comfortable bed! Unfortunately, the cleanliness was lacking and the bathroom was in poor shape. Definitely needs improvement!
